Government has allocated 11 billion rubles to increase public sector employees’ salaries

More than 11 billion rubles will be additionally allocated from the Cabinet's reserve fund to increase wages in certain categories of the public sector. This order was signed today by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

We are talking about teachers, medical workers, university professors, and those who work in science and culture. Of the allocated funds, more than 4.6 billion rubles will be used to increase the salaries of employees of educational institutions and almost 2 billion rubles - for scientific ones. More than 3.8 billion rubles will go to medical institutions, and over 890 million rubles will go to cultural institutions.

It is reported that the allocated funding will ensure the implementation of the presidential decrees of 2012 on the remuneration of certain categories of public sector workers, according to which the salaries of nursing and junior medical personnel, school teachers, kindergarten teachers, college teachers, and workers of cultural institutions should reach 100% of the average wages in the region, and salaries of doctors, university teachers, and researchers - up to 200% of the average wage in the region.

It was previously reported that 2024 wages will be indexed for several categories of working Russians.
