Bashkir Honey was first to receive halal certificate in Russia

Bashkortostan is the first region in Russia to receive Halal certification for honey according to the new standards of Roskachestvo. The corresponding certificate was presented to the autonomous non-profit institution "Altyn Solok" at the round table "On the prospects for the development of Roskachestvo - Halal certification," which was held as part of the VII specialized exhibition "Our Brand."

As the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic explained, certified products will be automatically recognized in countries that recognize the halal standard.

The republic is working to ensure that local unique honey, which is undoubtedly environmentally friendly, enters international markets with high purchasing power. For example, these are the countries of the Arab world. “Halal” certification is one of the main conditions allowing Bashkir honey to enter these markets or facilitate the process.

Let us remind you that from November 28 to December 2, at the Bashkortostan stand as part of the exhibition forum “Russia,” there will be a week of regional agriculture, which will be called “Agricultural Bashkortostan”. The first three days will be held under the “flags” of the main regional brands - “Bashkir Honey” and “Bashkir Horse”.

Today in Bashkiria, there are about 300 thousand bee families on farms of all forms of ownership. According to preliminary estimates, in 2023, honey production in the region will amount to more than 6 thousand tons.

Last week, the VII specialized exhibition “Our Brand” was held in Ufa - the main event in the region's food industry.
