Alexey Gruzdev spoke about technological sovereignty strengthening policy

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Alexey Gruzdev, during a plenary session of the International Business Week 2023 via videoconference, spoke about the policy of strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty through the development of industrial cooperation.

“We note the domestic economy's growth after the coronavirus pandemic and the introduction of Western sanctions. In particular, we are building up industrial competencies and actively developing new foreign markets. And, of course, we are forming new sustainable cooperation chains, primarily in the Eurasian space and the CIS. Another trend is the organization of the industrial presence of Russian companies abroad. This allows us to adapt to a new partnership model, within which we bring our goods and services closer to end consumers,” said Alexey Gruzdev.

Representatives of the People's Republic of China delegation also spoke at the plenary session. Thus, the chairman of the board of the Jiangxi Ocean Willy Industrial company, Huang Shi Hua, noted the investor support system that was formed in Bashkortostan. The head of the Chinese Institute of Digital Assets board, Huang Jingan, paid attention to the competitive opportunities of Russian-Chinese cooperation in confronting global challenges and Western economic pressure.

Special Representative of the Russian President for SCO Affairs Bakhtiyor Khakimov recalled that for almost 10 years, the activities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have been based on the development strategy until 2025. This document was adopted in Ufa at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member states in 2015.

One of the organization’s work principles is openness to interaction with all states and international organizations. At the same time, in modern conditions, SCO members are working to formulate proposals to improve the interaction mechanism at the interstate level.
