International Business Week grand opening occurred in Ufa

The International Business Week 2023 grand opening occurred at the Ufa Congress Hall “Toratau”. The sixteenth international forum brought together more than 4 thousand participants from Russia and more than two dozen friendly countries.

At the forum's opening ceremony, Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov called the event a unique platform for the republic’s partners, providing an opportunity for communication and concluding new contracts and agreements.

“This year, we welcome here 21 countries of the world, all 89 regions of Russia, and our partners from the State Duma, the Federation Council, the SCO, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, the Russian Union of Industrialists, and Entrepreneurs. We have over 4 thousand participants, and we are confident this week will be productive for everyone. More than 50 business events are planned; everyone will find their social circle and interesting interlocutors. We plan to look into the future and understand what will happen in 25-30 years. Many future trends are being formed today, and we are participating in those processes, the results of which will become a given in the world, our country, and the republic in 2050,” noted Andrey Nazarov.

“People change the country. Time and fate have allowed us to change the development model and make a gigantic technological breakthrough, turning Russia into a great country. This has already happened when we were the first to go into space. I would like to recall the famous words of a famous citizen of our country, Yuri Gagarin: “Let's go!” - First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government Sergey Morozov greeted the participants of the event.

On behalf of friendly Belarus, this country's Deputy Minister of Economy, Mikhail Chebotar, greeted the forum participants.

“I greet everyone on behalf of the Republic of Belarus. We have very warm and friendly relations with Bashkortostan. This year, the number of joint events is huge. I am confident they will become the cementing basis for our enterprises to create new production facilities and increase mutual trade turnover. Russian investments in Belarus are growing by tens of percent, indicating that your business trusts our republic. Therefore, I wish all participants to find contacts here, expand them, and conclude agreements. Good work to everyone,” said Mikhail Chebotar.
