Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin visited the exhibition stand of Bashkortostan on the XVII International Forum “Transport of Russia” on November 15 in Moscow.
The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, told the vice-premier about the region's key infrastructure projects and the timing of their implementation. We discussed timely financing of work on transport facilities and interaction between Bashkortostan and the federal center.
“The most important federal project is the construction of the Eastern exit from Ufa. To complete the project, 2.5 billion rubles are needed. We asked to speed up funding. Marat Khusnullin supported us. We have laid asphalt in this area and are applying road markings. In an interview with journalists, we plan to complete the work in January-February 2024,” noted Radiy Khabirov.
The head of the region also spoke about other significant projects for transport infrastructure development in Bashkortostan.
“The main topic of discussion is the modernization of the R-240 Ufa – Orenburg highway. There is a fairly dense traffic flow on the section from Sterlitamak to Zirgan, so we want to expand the road to four lanes. The positive effect of this will be felt by more than 500 thousand residents of Sterlitamak, Salavat, Ishimbay, and other settlements in this zone. In addition, we are completing the construction of the Birsk-Tastuba-Satka highway and continue to increase the capacity of the M-5 and M-7 highways. In general, we are fulfilling the instructions of the Russian government,” said Radiy Khabirov.
