Bashkortostan enterprises have significantly increased sunflower oil supplies to China

The largest plant in the Kuyurgazinsky district of Bashkiria shipped 85 railway flexitanks with unrefined sunflower oil with a total weight of 1802 tons to China. The press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor regional department reported this.

All 85 batches of regulated products were inspected and processed by specialists from the supervisory authority before being sent to the Chinese counterparty. Sunflower oil from Bashkiria fully complies with the phytosanitary safety requirements of the importing country. Based on the findings, 85 phytosanitary certificates were issued. Products were shipped to China.

“Since the beginning of 2023, oil extraction enterprises in Bashkiria have exported 21,526 tons of sunflower oil to China. This is 8,273 tons more than during the same period in 2022 when 13,253 tons were sold to China,” the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the Republic emphasized.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, the volume of exports of agricultural products from Bashkiria in January–October 2023 increased by 13.6% to $260.5 million.

Farmers shipped 450 thousand tons - almost twice as much as in 10 months of 2022.

“Now, the key importers of Bashkir agricultural products are Iran, China, and Latvia. We actively cooperate with Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Belarus and develop partnerships with Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia. Soon, we plan to increase supplies to China. Our exporting enterprises undergo international certification for export shipments of goods to African countries,” the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic reported.
