Current residents of priority development territories (PDT) in Bashkiria have invested almost 2 billion rubles in the republic's economy over the 9 months this year. This became known during a meeting of the regional Ministry of Economic Development with representatives of single-industry town administrations.
Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov said that the bulk of investments were made by residents providing logistics services and implementing projects for producing reinforced concrete structures, oilfield equipment, and metal products.
“Currently, 126 residents of PDT are registered in the Republic of Bashkortostan with a planned investment volume of more than 42 billion rubles and the creation of about 10 thousand new jobs. Over the first 9 months of 2023, investors invested 1.8 billion rubles and created more than 500 new jobs. PDT residents invested 9 billion rubles in the region’s economy, creating about 5.5 thousand new jobs. PDT residents produce household chemicals, medical products, sports equipment, equipment for the oil industry, and much more,” said Andrey Nazarov.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that another free investment platform for business development had been prepared for investors in Bashkiria. A plot of land with about 6 hectares is located in the Iglinsky district along the M-5 Ural federal highway. It is expected that roadside service facilities will be located on its territory.
