Registered SMEs in Bashkiria increased by 5.7%

According to the Unified Register of SMEs, as of November 10, 2023, in Bashkiria, over the past 12 months, registered small and medium-sized businesses increased by 7.3 thousand and amounted to 133.6 thousand units. This is 5.7% more than on November 10, 2022, the press service of the republican government reported.

“Such positive dynamics are ensured thanks to state support, including within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives,” noted Rustem Afzalov, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic.

At the same time, the number of self-employed people in the republic continues to grow. As of November 1, 2023, the number of payers of professional income tax reached 174.1 thousand people. This is 38.7% higher than last year.

Tax revenues for 10 months to the republican budget amounted to 15.7 billion rubles, 20.2% more than last year.

“An effective tool for supporting entrepreneurial initiatives is the Institute of Business Sheriffs. Over the 9 months of this year, they reviewed 3,247 projects. The total amount of declared investments is 92 billion rubles. It is planned to create 14.7 thousand jobs. There are currently 627 projects at the implementation stage with a total cost of 16.4 billion rubles,” the government of Bashkortostan emphasized.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the national project to support SMEs under the May decree in 2018. It aims to help businesses at all stages of their development.

Three regional projects are being implemented in Bashkiria as part of this national project. Among them are “Creating favorable conditions for self-employed citizens to carry out activities,” “Creating conditions for an easy start and comfortable doing business,” and “Acceleration of SMEs.”

This year, 694.5 million rubles are allocated for implementing activities in the republic that are part of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives”. Federal budget funds are 680.6 million rubles, and regional budget funds are 13.9 million.
