Social enterprises in Bashkiria increased by 50 percent in 2023

Since the beginning of 2023, the number of social enterprises in Bashkiria has increased by 50%. Now, there are 606 of them. Regarding the number of such enterprises, Bashkiria ranks 2nd in Russia after the Moscow region. These data were presented at an operational meeting of the government by the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic, Rustem Afzalov.

In 2023, 165 social enterprises received grants totaling 81.8 million rubles. Compared to last year, this figure increased by 12.2%. The average grant amount was 496 thousand rubles. Most social entrepreneurs produce goods and services for citizens needing social services (disabled people, large or single parents, pensioners, graduates of orphanages, refugees, low-income citizens, etc.). Of those who received grants, half fall into this category. 25% of grant recipients plan to implement projects in the field of education, and 15% of projects are related to the provision of medical services. The general geography of grant recipients covers 36 cities and districts of the republic. 41 grants were provided to social entrepreneurs from Ufa. Entrepreneurs from Ufa, Tuymazinsky, and Dyurtyulinsky districts and Sibay and Sterlitamak should also be noted among the active participants.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that in Bashkiria, young entrepreneurs starting at the age of 14 also receive grants for business development.
