China can and should become Bashkiria's most important foreign economic partner due to the endless possibilities for cooperation. The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, announced this at an operational government meeting.
As Bashinform News Agency reported last week, a Bashkortostan delegation led by Prime Minister of the Republican Government Andrey Nazarov visited Shanghai.
The official delegation includes employees of large regional companies and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.
As Andrey Nazarov has repeatedly emphasized during numerous meetings with Chinese business people, China is Bashkiria’s No. 1 partner today.
The reason is simple. Even though our republic has strong economic relations with 112 countries worldwide, China now accounts for almost 25 percent of foreign trade turnover.
“This obliges us to maintain these relations, as well as to look for new opportunities,” the Prime Minister said, noting that Bashkiria is a promising territory for cooperation with great economic potential.
According to the Minister of Trade and Services of the Republic, Alexey Gusev, the visit to China was quite successful.
“The trip to China turned out to be quite productive. Our business has concluded 10 agreements worth 8.4 billion rubles. Contracts worth 1.5 billion rubles will be signed shortly. We will receive all the goods' conditions, specifications, and characteristics and begin deliveries. I am convinced that opportunities for further cooperation will only increase,” wrote the head of the Ministry of Trade of Bashkiria, Alexey Gusev, on his Telegram channel.
