Bashkiria has best sugar beet yield - 59.2 tons per hectare
Sugar beet harvesting is being completed in Bashkiria. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic, by November 7, work had been carried out on 46.1 thousand hectares - 97% of the area. The gross harvest of root crops exceeded 1.58 million tons.
The average yield of root crops this year is very high, experts note - 34.4 tons/ha, 14% higher than a year earlier.
The highest yield is in the Tuymazinsky district - 59.2 tons/ha. The farms of the Chishminsky district collected the largest volume (293 thousand tons) - they have the largest area under this crop. In total, about 1.6 million tons of root crops have been excavated.
Meanwhile, as Bashinform News Agency reported, two sugar factories in Bashkiria produced almost 80 tons of products.
