Fencing Center construction in Ufa will be completed by next fall

The construction of the Fencing Center in Ufa will be completed by the fall of next year. Today, the construction readiness of the facility is 18%, said the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov.

“At the moment, several works have been completed, including driving piles and laying a foundation for the boiler room. Filling of the construction site and monolithic works are being carried out. The fencing center will have two floors. The construction area is 3962.90 sq. m. It will house the main and specialized sports halls, stands with 373 seats, a sporting goods store, a commentary room, a judges’ room, coaching rooms, and much more,” the Minister wrote on his Telegram channel.

He noted that the Center under construction will be the largest not only in the republic but also in Russia. International and world competitions and tournaments will be held there.

“Our task is to create all the necessary conditions for our athletes. As a sign of gratitude for the successes of the fencers, with love and special awe for our athletes,” added Ruslan Khabibov.

Let us remind you that another of the anniversary objects for the 450th anniversary of the capital of Bashkortostan, which will be celebrated in 2024, will be the Wrestling Palace. As Bashinform News Agency reported, the Head of Bashkortostan launched the facility's construction in 2019, laying a time capsule at its foundation.
