Economically active population was counted in Bashkiria
According to a sample study by the Bashkir Statistical Agency, the economically active population of Bashkiria aged 15 years and older was about 1.942 million.
Of these, almost 1.897 million people were classified as employed in economic activities and 45.2 thousand people as unemployed, meeting the criteria of the International Labor Organization. That is, they did not have a job or gainful occupation, were looking for work, and were ready to start work in the survey week.
In Russia as a whole, the labor force, according to the latest data, is almost 76.251 million people in the Volga Federal District - about 14.742 million people.
As Bashinform News Agency previously reported regarding Bashkir Statistical Agency, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in Bashkiria in August 2023 exceeded 56,414 rubles. In total, for nine months of this year, it amounted to almost 54,537 rubles.
