Radiy Khabirov named key directions for tourism development in Bashkiria

At an operational government meeting, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, named the main tourism events in the republic this year and became the winners of the Russian Event Awards 2023 for the Volga and Ural federal districts.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, Bashkiria became the leader at the regional stage of the National Tourism Award Russian Event Awards 2023 for the Volga and Ural Federal Districts. The results were summed up in Saransk.

“The forum itself is very prestigious, and our republic won 15 first, 11 second, and 15 third places,” noted Radiy Khabirov.

Among the key achievements, the X Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus, which Ufa hosted from June 26 to 28, was recognized as the best international business event. The International Forum on Ethno-tourism was awarded bronze.

The jury recognized the IV International Forum on the Development and Digital Transformation of Cities “Smart City - Smart Country” as the best event in the field of popular science tourism. The best event in the field of rural tourism was recognized as the international festival of horses of the Bashkir breed “Bashgort Aty” in the Baymaksky district, and the best project for the implementation of event tourism was “Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in St. Petersburg”. The New Year Holidays “TERRA ZIMA 2023” festival was the best street theatrical performance and carnival.

“All of them are recognized as events of a very high level,” the Head of Bashkiria emphasized.

Let us recall that at the third international forum on ethno-tourism held in Ufa last week, Radiy Khabirov met with leaders of the tourism industry from the regions of Russia, Belarus, and Abkhazia. At the meeting, the head of the region spoke about the key areas of tourism development in Bashkiria.
