86% of sunflower fields have been harvested in Bashkiria
In Bashkiria, the harvesting of the main oilseed crop is nearing completion. This year, sunflowers are cultivated by farms in 37 districts of Bashkiria.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria, by October 30, 248 thousand hectares were harvested on farms - 86% of all areas. The gross threshing of oilseeds exceeded 370 thousand tons. For comparison, last year, by the end of October, the figure was 1.5 times less.
The national average crop yield is 1.5 t/ha. At the same time, in the Karmaskalinsky, Dyurtyulinsky, and Ilishevsky districts, more than 2.2 tons of oil seeds were collected per hectare.
In Bashkiria, the harvest of oilseeds, including flax, rapeseed, soybeans, mustard, and other crops, amounted to 464 thousand tons.
Sunflower and sugar beets are the latest crops, sometimes completed in November. As Bashinform News Agency reported, this year's oilseed harvest began closer to the second ten days of September.
