Best beet yield reached 60 tons per hectare in Bashkiria
In the beet-growing areas of Bashkiria, 1.5 million tons of sugar beets have been dug up. By October 27, farms had harvested 44 thousand hectares of root crops, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus was informed.
The current season has turned out to be quite successful for beet growers. The yield averaged 34 tons/ha, and in some farms, it was much higher, on average 40 tons/ha. The highest beet yield is recorded in the Tuymazinsky district - 60 tons/ha.
By Friday, 288 thousand tons of root crops had been dug up by beet growers in the Chishminsky district and 215 thousand tons in the Buzdyaksky district. In three more regions, the beet harvest exceeded the 100 thousand tons mark.
