Bashkiria almost doubled grain export shipments compared to last year
In September of this year, grain loading on the Kuibyshev Railway exceeded 265.8 thousand tons, 50.2% more than in September 2022. The press service of the Kuibyshev Railway reported this.
The growth in transportation volumes is associated with stable demand for grain on the world market and the increased needs of Russian enterprises. The presence of grain residues from the record 2022 harvest at elevators contributed to the conclusion of contracts by shippers for the supply of cereals from the previous and new harvests. In September 2023, grain exports amounted to 166.8 thousand tons, 1.8 times more than last year's period. Domestic grain transportation amounted to 99 thousand tons (an increase of 20%).
