32 million Russian residents will receive pension indexation in 2024
The State Duma, in the first reading, adopted a law on indexation of pensions for non-working citizens from January 1, 2024. Payments will increase by 7.5%. 32 million Russians will receive pension indexation, the press service of the State Duma reports, citing Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin.
“All the funds necessary to support pensioners have already been included in the draft federal budget. Additional budget expenditures for increasing pensions in 2024 will amount to about 234 billion rubles,” Vyacheslav Volodin said in the State Duma press service.
On October 25, deputies also intend to consider in the first reading of the law on increasing the minimum wage.
As mentioned earlier, Bashinform News Agency wrote that State Duma deputies will increase the number of meetings during the autumn session, as it is necessary to adopt many important initiatives.
