

The Bank of Russia issued three types of commemorative coins “The Scarlet Flower” of the “Russian (Soviet) Animation” series. According to the press service of the Central Bank, this is a silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles, a 25-ruble steel coin with nickel plating, and a 25-ruble copper-nickel coin with a color coating.
The coins depict images from a Soviet cartoon created in 1952 by director Lev Atamanov based on drawings by Leonid Shvartsman.
The circulation of the silver coin is 7 thousand pieces. The circulation of the base metal coins is 850 thousand and 150 thousand pieces, respectively.
Sergey Aksakov is a classic of Russian literature and a native of Ufa. As Bashinform reported, in memory of the writer, the Aksakov Festival has been celebrated annually in Bashkiria for more than 30 years.
