Housing Code and Housing and Communal Services GIS law amendments were adopted in first reading in Russia

At the plenary meeting of the State Duma, two bills were adopted in the first reading - “On Amendments to the Housing Code of the Russian Federation” and the articles of the federal law “On GIS Housing and Communal Services”. The bills were presented by the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, Yuri Mutsenek.

“The main goal of the bills is to simplify and modernize the work of the state information system for housing and communal services, including optimizing the composition of information to be placed in the system. The first project greatly simplifies the procedure for posting information on subsidies. The second is aimed at ensuring the safety of the funds of the owners of premises in apartment buildings, formed on special accounts, and at increasing the transparency of their spending when carrying out major repairs in apartment buildings,” Yuriy Mutsenek clarified.
