

In Bashkiria, more than 4.1 million passengers traveled by rail in January–September. This figure is 20% higher than passenger traffic for 9 months of 2022.
756 thousand passengers traveled by long-distance trains and 3.4 million by commuter trains.
According to the Bashkir branch of the Kuibyshev Railway, the development of new routes and the improvement of existing ones have shown their results.
Thus, this year, the popular Ufa - St. Petersburg train became fast and runs daily. Since the beginning of the year, it has taken about 220 thousand passengers from Ufa.
For the first time in Bashkiria, the route Ufa - Imereti Resort began to be served by a two-decker train. During the high tourist season - from May to September, over 58 thousand passengers traveled by this train.
In suburban traffic, positive results were achieved due to the launch of new routes and new trains - Orlans and Lastochkas appeared in Bashkiria. For example, as Bashinform News Agency reported, the six-car Lastochka train began running on the popular route Ulu-Telyak - Dema last week.
