60% of sunflower areas have been harvested in Bashkiria
Harvesting of oilseeds continues in Bashkiria—today, 2/3 of the area, or 275 thousand hectares, has been threshed. The total threshing of oilseeds amounted to 350 thousand tons, with an average yield of 1.27 t/ha.
The main oilseed crop in Bashkiria is sunflower, harvested on an area of 178 thousand hectares (60.6%). The harvest amounted to 266 thousand tons with a 1.5 t/ha yield.
90% of all areas have been harvested—1.97 million hectares. As Bashinform News Agency reported, 3.225 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed - 1 million more than the republic’s domestic consumption.
Preparing coarse and succulent feed for livestock is also in its final stage. More than 560 thousand tons of hay, about 1.05 million tons of haylage, and 1.055 million tons of hay have been prepared for the winter.
The feed supply in the region is now 2.22 tons of feed units per conventional head of livestock.
