According to Central Bank, annual inflation in Russia reached 6% in September and will continue to grow
According to materials from the Central Bank, annual inflation in Russia reached 6% in September and will continue to grow in the coming months.
"In September, consumer prices increased by 0.87%. On average, in the third quarter, the monthly price increase was 0.96%, corresponding to 12.1% in annual terms. Annual inflation continued to rise, reaching 6% (in August - 5 .15%). According to the Bank of Russia’s forecast, annual inflation will continue to rise in the coming months,” the regulator says in its materials.
At the same time, the Central Bank noted that inflation in Russia in 2023 is near the upper limit of the forecast dated September 15 of 6-7%.
“Inflation in 2023 is near the upper limit of the September 15, 2023 forecast: 6-7%. Considering the current monetary policy, annual inflation will return to 4% in 2024 and close to 4% in the future,” the regulator indicated.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, annual inflation in Bashkiria increased to 3.7%.
