Bashkiria is among the leaders in the number of clusters, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation of the Republic Alexander Sheldyaev emphasized at an operational meeting of the republican government.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, six industrial clusters are in the region.
“This year, we plan to include two more clusters in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade register - the light industry cluster and the machine tool cluster and enter 10 interregional clusters. Agreements have already been signed with the Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg regions, and the Republic of Karelia. Agreements with the Irkutsk and Samara regions are in the works,” said Alexander Sheldyaev.
In parallel, active work is being carried out in Bashkiria to accredit existing industrial clusters to bring them into line with the new approaches outlined by the Russian President at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022.
“So, currently, there are 19 investment projects aimed at import substitution. The total investment is about 1.5 billion rubles. As part of cluster development, we believe that our enterprises will increasingly localize production in Bashkiria and multiply the output of their products,” said Alexander Sheldyaev.
