Railway passenger traffic increased in Bashkiria
According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic, in September 2023, about 1.7 million passengers departed from the stations of the Kuibyshev Railway, which is 10.3% more than in the same period last year, of which 1.3 million passengers were in suburban traffic, in long-distance – 412.4 thousand passengers.
Passenger turnover in September 2023 amounted to 505.6 million passenger-km, 8.4% more than in the same period in 2022, including in suburban traffic - 57.4 million passenger-km, long-distance - 448, 2 million pass-km.
In January-September 2023, 14.5 million passengers were sent, of which 10.6 million were on suburban routes and 3.9 million were on long-distance routes.
Since the beginning of 2023, passenger turnover has increased by 9.3% compared to last year and amounted to 4.5 billion passenger-km, including in suburban traffic - 507.7 million passenger-km, in long-distance traffic - 4 billion passenger-km.
