Bashkortostan companies held more than 300 negotiations during a business dialogue at the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Kazakhstan” from September 25 to 27 in Astana. Following the results of the first day of work, three companies of Bashkortostan entered into export contracts totaling about half a billion rubles and two more signed memorandums of cooperation. During the negotiation zone, the participants were greeted by the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Andrey Nazarov.
“Our task now is to increasingly involve the business circles of Bashkortostan in international cooperation because it is not easy for medium and small businesses to go, organize the trip themselves, find a partner, confirm the meeting, and return with the result. It’s another matter, and much more effective, when everything is organized at the government level, and there are already contractors, partners, and a B2B zone. At almost every table, I saw real interest, some agreement, and some progress. This is why we carry out these trips,” said Andrey Nazarov.
During the exhibition, business representatives from Bashkortostan will continue to work on B2B platforms and hold on-site meetings at enterprises in Kazakhstan.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, based on the results of January-July 2023, there was an increase in the foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan by 5.3% compared to the figure for the same period in 2022. During the same period, an increase in the export of goods from Bashkortostan to Kazakhstan by 9.5% was also recorded.
