45 billion rubles for preferential lending to farmers has been allocated by Russian government

An additional 45 billion rubles will be allocated to support the preferential lending program for agricultural producers. This will allow subsidizing more than 40 thousand loans. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the official website of the Russian government.

These funds will be used to subsidize loans provided to agricultural enterprises to produce and process agricultural products. The need for additional financing is associated with an increase in the key rate of the Bank of Russia in the second half of 2023. The source of funds was the government reserve fund. The preferential lending program for farmers was launched in 2017. Within its framework, agricultural producers can take out a short-term or investment loan at a rate of up to 5%.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported on allocating additional funds to Bashkiria for the development of land reclamation.
