As one of the leading regions in funding for the School Tourism program, Bashkiria received an additional 7.5 million rubles from the federal budget to increase the number of program participants in 2023. As part of co-financing, the republican budget will allocate another 3 million rubles. The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Republic reports this.
The increase in grant support became possible thanks to the republic’s participation in implementing the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”. For implementing the School Tourism program in Bashkiria in 2023, 188.7 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget, and the regional budget allocated 75.5 million rubles. As a result, considering additional subsidies, the total funding will be 274.7 million rubles, making it possible to cover more than 39 thousand students in grades 5-9 with free tourist trips during the year.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that by the beginning of the new school year in Bashkiria, more than 19 thousand schoolchildren participated in the School Tourism program.
