Bashkiria’s farmers harvested 2.8 million tons of grain
According to operational data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria, 1.5 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops, or 87 percent, have been harvested in the region.
“There are already 2.8 million tons of grain from the new harvest in farm bins and elevators. The most significant contribution was traditionally made by Sterlitamaksky district farmers, who threshed 187 thousand tons of grain. In second place are the residents of Aurgazinsky district, with an indicator of 134 thousand tons. Also, more than 100 thousand tons of grain were threshed by the farms of the Karmaskalinsky, Chishminsky, Davlekanovsky, and Meleuzovsky districts,” the press service of the agricultural department emphasized to Bashinform News Agency.
The average yield of grain and leguminous crops in Bashkiria is almost 2 tons per hectare. Meanwhile, in the Karmaskalinsky district, grain yield reaches practically 29 thousand tons per hectare.
