
Harvesting of the main oilseed crop, sunflower, has begun in Bashkiria. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, work is underway in three districts - Kushnarenkovsky, Miyakinsky, and Sterlibashevsky. The sunflower area this year is 288 thousand hectares. The average yield is almost 1 t/ha (in 2022 - 1.55 t/ha).
By September 13, farms had threshed 564 hectares of this crop and collected 561 tons of oilseeds.
More than 45 thousand tons of oilseeds were threshed in the republic. As Bashinform News Agency reported, rapeseed, flax, mustard, and soybeans are also grown in the region.
