Over the eight months of this year, 4,172 wagons of grain with a total weight of 293.6 thousand tons were shipped from Bashkiria. Most of them - 3,309 wagons (234.4 thousand tons) of grain are sent for export, the republican Ministry of Agriculture reported.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of shipments abroad increased 10 times (in 8 months of 2022, 316 wagons with a volume of 22.7 thousand tons were shipped).
In August of this year, 618 grain wagons weighing 43.2 thousand tons were shipped by rail.
Bashkir wheat, oilseeds, grain malt, and barley were sent to Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa, and other countries.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, the republic will export its agricultural products to 30 countries this year.
