Bashkiria entered Top 10 regions in insurance payments to farmers

Bashkiria is among the ten regions of the country whose farmers most often receive insurance payments for crop loss, the press service of the National Union of Agricultural Insurers told Bashinform News Agency.

According to the National Union of Agricultural Insurers, from the beginning of 2020 to July 31, 2023, insurance companies paid more than 8.5 billion rubles to the country’s farmers for lost harvest alone.

The country's leader in the number of payments under crop insurance contracts was the Stavropol Territory, where 129 insurance payments were made.

The second place in the number of payments to crop growers is in the Perm Territory, in which 80 agricultural enterprises that insured the crop accounted for 111 insurance payments totaling more than 219 million rubles.

In third place is Mordovia, whose farmers received 87 insurance payments totaling 450 million rubles.

In Tatarstan, 58 insurance payments were made - 473 million rubles.

The top ten regions in terms of the number of insurance payments to plant growers also included: Volgograd region - 32 payments, a total of 103 million rubles; Bashkiria - 30 payments totaling 105.6 million rubles; Samara region - 28 payments totaling 883.9 million rubles; Altai Territory - 28 payments, totaling 59.6 million rubles and Orenburg Region - 27 payments totaling 195 million rubles.
