Unmanned Aircraft Systems Development Directorate has been created in Bashkiria

By the Decree of the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, the Directorate for the Unmanned Aerial Systems Industry Development in Bashkortostan, was established. The document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information of the Republic.

It is noted that the decision was made to develop the unmanned aerial systems industry, including developing and producing unmanned aerial vehicles for civil and military purposes and developing the industry's scientific and technological human potential. The Decree approved the composition of the Directorate, which included members of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, heads of enterprises, non-profit organizations, rectors of leading universities, and leaders of colleges. Deputy Prime Minister - Republican Minister of Industry, Energy, and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev has been appointed Chairman of the Directorate.

The Directorate will have to develop a strategy for the development of unmanned aircraft until 2035 to prepare an action plan for the development of the industry of unmanned aircraft systems in Bashkiria.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported on plans to create a Directorate for developing the unmanned aerial systems industry in the republic. Radiy Khabirov explained this decision as the need to concentrate everything related to the industry on one hand. We are talking not only about the military but also about the civilian use of drones and the broad prospects for their use in various sectors of the economy.
