Russian Minister of Labor spoke about Bashkiria's leadership in hiring subsidy program

Bashkiria ranks second in Russia in implementing the hiring subsidy program, said the head of the Russian Ministry of Labor, Anton Kotyakov.

He says more than 20 thousand employers in the country have sent applications to participate in the hiring subsidy program. More than 37 thousand people have already been employed - this is 70% of the planned indicators.

The leaders in terms of the pace of program implementation were Moscow, Bashkiria, Kirov, and Kemerovo regions.

As reported at the meeting, the number of unemployed people registered in employment centers since the beginning of this year has decreased in Russia by 78 thousand and amounts to 487 thousand people.

“This is 27 percent lower than in August last year,” emphasized Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Tatyana Golikova.

Let us recall that by the end of July 2023, 15.9 thousand people were registered with the employment service of Bashkiria, of which 13.8 thousand were officially registered unemployed. Statisticians of the republic reported this to Bashinform News Agency.

Meanwhile, the regions continue to implement additional measures aimed at ensuring employment.

“Within the framework of the national project “Demography”, training is carried out in more than 10 thousand educational programs and 254 areas. The first 43 thousand people have already completed training in professions in demand in local labor markets. Training has also been organized in all new regions - about 2 thousand applications have been received, and about 760 citizens have already completed short-term courses,” noted Tatyana Golikova.
