Over 2 billion rubles were issued under preferential IT mortgage program in Bashkiria

Since the beginning of the preferential IT mortgage program in Bashkiria, 1,170 applications have been accepted, and more than 300 loans have been issued for more than 2 billion rubles. Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov announced this on social media. He noted that thanks to the republic’s additional subsidization of the rate established at the federal level, it is now possible to take out such a loan in the republic at 4% per annum. As Bashinform News Agency reported, preferential mortgages for IT specialists were launched in March 2022.

The maximum loan amount is 6 million rubles. Participants in the program can obtain a mortgage loan to purchase an apartment in the republic in a building under construction or a finished apartment, as well as a house (finished or under construction). Funds can also be used to build a house under a contract or purchase a plot for such construction.

Citizens of Russia under 50 years of age who are registered in Bashkiria and work in an accredited IT company operating in the republic can receive a preferential mortgage loan. You can learn more about this program here.

In addition, from September 1, Russia softened the terms of mortgage loans for IT specialists. Industry workers under 36 may not have to pay the minimum wage.
