

Passenger traffic by trains in Bashkiria increased by 29% by seven months of 2022 in January-July of this year, the press service of the Bashkortostan branch of the Kuibyshev Railway reported. This is 1.3 million people.
As the company explained, the high performance was achieved through joint work with the Republican Ministry of Transport and the Bashkortostan Suburban Passenger Company to upgrade the route network and launch new transport products and a flexible tariff policy.
The region organized the movement of electric trains within the boundaries of the Ufa agglomeration with a half-hour interval in the morning and evening hours. From June 5, a commuter train, Tavtimanovo - Ufa - Dyoma, was appointed. The compositions of three Lastochka electric trains increased from 5 to 6 wagons, and EP2D trains increased from 4 to 6 wagons.
Thus, the number of electric trains in the Ufa agglomeration increased from 23 to 25 daily, and the number of passengers transported - from 2 thousand to 3.5 thousand people on "peak" days - up to 5 thousand.
