Ufa train passenger traffic increased by 29% this year

As part of the execution of the order of the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, following the Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation until 2030, a comfortable suburban rail transport network will be formed in Bashkiria.

Currently, within the boundaries of the Ufa urban agglomeration, interval commuter trains are organized (no more than 30 minutes between trains) in the morning and evening hours. 25 suburban trains are involved in transportation, about 3,500 passengers are transported daily, up to 5,000 passengers on "peak" days.

According to the results of 7 months of 2023, passenger traffic in the Ufa urban agglomeration increased by 29% compared to the same period in 2022.

The stops Ufa, Shaksha, Sportivnaya, Dema, and Chernikovka are most in demand among passengers.

The cost of transportation of one passenger by rail in suburban traffic in the Dema-Shaksha zone is 26 rubles for trains of the Standard category, 34 rubles for trains of the Lastochka category, 22 rubles for trains of the Standard category when paying through the mobile application " Russian Railways Passengers”, 30 rubles for trains of the Lastochka category when paying through the Russian Railways Passengers mobile application.

As Bashinform News Agency learned, two Lastochka trains are expected to arrive by the end of 2023, which will also be involved in transportation within the Ufa urban agglomeration.
