Bashkiria will attract federal funds for Yumaguzinsky hydroelectric complex repair

The Government of Bashkiria reviewed the course of overhaul of hydraulic structures, which are in republican ownership. This was reported to Bashinform News Agency in the press service of the government of the Republic of Belarus.

In Bashkiria, there are approximately 500 ponds and reservoirs for water management. Of these, 32 are in republican ownership. Since 2005, 84 hydraulic structures have been overhauled to more than 570 million rubles, of which about 460 million rubles have been federally funded.

In 2022, the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkiria attracted federal funds for overhauling six hydraulic structures for 15.2 million rubles. In 2023, the federal funds raised to repair five hydraulic systems amounted to 33.7 million rubles.

The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Belarus sent applications for financing the repair of two facilities that are in republican ownership. These are the hydraulic structures of the Yumaguzinsky Reservoir in the Kugarchinsky district and the Sakmarsky Reservoir in the Baimaksky district. The total cost of work on these facilities, scheduled for 2024 and 2025, is 642.4 million rubles, including from the federal budget - 561.3 million rubles and the republican budget - 81.1 million rubles.

Renovation of hydraulic structures will make it possible to consistently provide water to industrial enterprises in the middle reaches of the Belaya River during low water periods and to regulate the flow of the Belaya and Sakmara Rivers during high water. This is especially important since the Yumaguzinsky hydroelectric complex, as one of the most important hydraulic structures in the region, supplies enterprises in the southern industrial zone of the republic, including residents of the Alga special economic zone.

In addition, the additional list of measures financed from the federal budget includes a significant overhaul of the hydraulic structures of the Bakalinsky reservoir and systems on the Shady River in the village of Bolshiye Shady, Mishkinsky District, totaling 87.7 million rubles.
