Andrey Nazarov spoke about cooperation prospects between St. Petersburg and Bashkiria

The Prime Minister of the government RB Andrey Nazarov spoke in St. Petersburg about the possibilities of cooperation between the two regions, the press service of the government RB reports. He marked the republic as an open and reliable partner, consistently ranking among the top five Russian regions regarding the quality of the business environment and comfort for entrepreneurial activity.

Interregional cooperation in the manufacturing sector is actively developing. Republican machine-building enterprises successfully cooperate with more than 30 large organizations of the Northern capital. This applies to the automotive, car building, shipbuilding, and state defense industries. It was noted that PJSC "UEC-UMPO" has established cooperation with the Klimov Corporation. In addition, other St. Petersburg companies supply units and components for aircraft engines to Bashkortostan.

There is great potential for developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the light industry. The Iskozh company already supplies many products for companies in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The republic cooperates with the Petersburg Tractor Plant in producing prototype springs for Kirovets tractors. The Belebeevsky plant "Avtonormal" is also interested in working with the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant and is ready to supply their mass production with its products. The St. Petersburg company Silovye Machiny supplies steam turbines, generators, and power equipment for Bashkirenergo. One of the promising areas of cooperation is the unmanned aircraft industry. Thus Bashkiria cooperates with the St. Petersburg company Astracom, which is developing in this area. An agreement was signed with St. Petersburg Civil Aviation University. The republic already now can train more than 2,000 specialists in the related areas.

Bashkiria is ready to share its experience and adopt the best practices in roadside service, the hospitality industry, and a comfortable urban environment. As part of the Days of the Republic in St. Petersburg, meetings are held with ship-owners and shipbuilding companies. A concept is being worked out with the United Shipbuilding Corporation to localize riverboat production. The republic is interested in the experience and competencies of St. Petersburg in the development of electric transport and passenger vehicles.

Earlier, Bashinform  News Agency reported that the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, named the most important areas of interaction between the two regions.
