Grain harvest in Bashkiria exceeded 2 million tons
The gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops in Bashkiria has reached 2.164 million tons, Bashinform News Agency was told in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the region.
Grain growers of the republic harvested two-thirds of all areas or 1.143 million hectares. The average yield is now 2.1 tons per hectare.
“The work on the winter wedge has been completed. Here the farmers of Bashkiria harvested more than 670 thousand tons of grain. Spring grain crops are actively harvested today, and their gross harvest is approaching the one-and-a-half million mark. Barley was threshed the most - almost 700,000 tons and 370,000 tons of spring wheat," the Republican Ministry of Agriculture added.
