Bashkiria will develop labor resources monitoring system

At the weekly operational meeting, which the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov held, they discussed the situation in the labor market in the first half of 2023.

Acting Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Region, Yuri Melnikov, said that in Bashkortostan, the unemployment rate had fallen to the lowest level since 1991 and amounted to 2.3 percent. This is lower than the Russian average (3.2 percent). The number of officially registered unemployed as of August 1, 2023, is 13.8 thousand, with a downward trend.

“Simultaneously, the number of employment options employers offer is growing. If at the beginning of the year, there were 42.5 thousand vacancies in the republican bank of Vacancies, today their number has increased by 9 thousand,” said Yury Melnikov.

The acting minister explained that to ensure employment of the population in the region, a set of additional state support measures is being implemented. Among them - are temporary employment of workers, organization of public works, and personnel training, including for enterprises of the military-industrial complex.

Yuri Melnikov spoke about the republic's participation in federal incentive programs, particularly "subsidized employment." We are talking about compensation to the employer for part of the costs of employing an employee under 30 for the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th months of his work. The subsidy per person 2023 for one month of work is 24.3 thousand rubles. Under this program, 29 people have already been employed at the UEC-UMPO enterprise. And since the beginning of the year, 560 employers have accepted more than 2,000 young people.

Yuri Melnikov noted that the labor market is becoming scarce. In this regard, specialists from the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Digital Development of the region began to develop a system for monitoring and forecasting personnel needs. It provides for questioning of employers of the republic.

The Head of Bashkortostan instructed the leadership of the municipalities to get involved in information and explanatory work with enterprises and organizations about the need to complete the survey.

"The main issue is that we do not have enough labor resources. In some industries, from 200 to 2,000 additional people are needed. And the new monitoring system will help to understand the situation and take the necessary measures," Radiy Khabirov said.
