Service sector inflation slowed to 7.3% in Bashkiria in July. In June, the figure was 8.6%. The effect of last year's high base has affected here, analysts of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus point out. The central role in the service sector is passenger transportation (by plane, train, road transport) and utilities. Last year, housing and communal services tariffs and prices for air travel and public transport were increased. In 2022, the cost of tourist vouchers, both foreign and domestic, has increased significantly. This year, tourism and transportation continued to rise in price, but not at such a pace, experts explain.

But, as Bashinform News Agency reported, food inflation is increasing. Food prices showed "negative growth" in the spring and early summer. In July, inflation was +1.83 after -0.25 in June. The reason is some problems in the agricultural sector and the weakening of the ruble. The Central Bank abruptly raised the rate from 8.5% to 12% to strengthen the domestic currency.
