

8.8 thousand residential and 303 non-residential buildings were put into operation on the territory of Bashkiria in the first half of 2023, the statistics of the republic reported.
Non-residential facilities include premises for cattle, grain storage, seed storage, storage for potatoes, vegetables, and fruits; capacity for the processing of particle boards, accommodation for the production of other non-metallic mineral products (cement); power lines, transformer step-down substations; car center, trade enterprises, shopping, and entertainment center; commodity warehouses; long-distance cable communication lines, fiber-optic communication lines; hotels, tourist bases, and catering establishments.
“Due to all sources of financing, 20.1 thousand apartments with a total area of more than 1.571 million square meters, or 105.6% compared to January-June 2022, were commissioned in the six months of 2023. 385 square meters of housing have been commissioned per 1,000 residents,” Bashkir Statistical Agency said.
Among the regions of Russia, according to the results of the first half of 2023, Bashkiria ranks eighth in terms of commissioning of the total area of housing and second among the regions of the Volga Federal District.
In the structure of housing construction, the share of housing built by the population at its own expense and with the help of loans amounted to 65.3%. They built 8.7 thousand houses with a total living area of 1025.8 thousand square meters, or 107.9%, compared to January-June last year.
As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, in the first half of 2023, the volume of work in the construction industry in Bashkiria exceeded 146.2 billion rubles, or 116.8%, compared to the same period in 2022.
