Russia allowed to import equipment for parks and sports facilities without paying state duty

Prime Minister of the Russian Government, Mikhail Mishustin, signed a resolution in which the possibilities for applying customs privileges for importing technological equipment, components, raw materials, and materials for implementing priority investment projects have been expanded.

As it became known to Bashinform News Agency, the list of priority activities within which equipment and materials can be imported into the country without paying customs duties includes sports, recreation, and entertainment. In particular, activities related to sports facilities, recreational parks, and theme parks.

A government decree approved the mechanism of the investment tariff benefit in May 2022. The list of priority activities includes about 50 items, including crop production, the production of medicines, food and beverages, paper and paper products, electrical equipment, computers, vehicles, activities in the field of information technology, telecommunications, long-distance and international passenger transportation, construction buildings and structures, oil and gas production, exploration drilling. The volume of capital investments for each investment project applying for inclusion in the list must be at least 250 million rubles.
