Gross grain harvest exceeded first million tons in Bashkiria
The Head of Bashkiria said on social media that the gross grain harvest in Bashkortostan exceeded 1.2 million tons.
Over a third of all areas with grain and leguminous crops have been threshed in the republic. The harvesting of winter crops is being completed. According to the Republican Ministry of Agriculture, the Sterlitamak and Aurgazinsky region's farms are leaders. They have collected more than 80 thousand tons of grain.
“Despite the difficult weather conditions this year, frosts in spring and drought in early summer, we are counting on a good harvest. The high competence of our farmers, technical and technological equipment allows us to say that the republic will not be left without bread,” Radiy Khabirov wrote.
Generally, this year's harvest is expected to be about 3 million tons.
