Trade turnover between Bashkiria and UAE increased 10 times in five months of 2023

The foreign trade turnover of Bashkiria and the United Arab Emirates for 5 months this year increased 10 times compared to last year. At the same time, exports increased by 10.8 times, and imports - by 2 times. This became known during the Republican Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities Margarita Bolycheva's meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation Mohammad Ahmad Sultan Yessa Aljaber.

“We held talks with representatives of the United Arab Emirates and discussed the implementation of investment projects in the field of tourism, as well as prospects for cooperation in mechanical engineering and the petrochemical industry. Our partners from the UAE expressed their desire to buy Bashkir honey,” Margarita Bolycheva shared.

Representatives of the embassy confirmed their intention to participate in the International Bashkir Horse Festival, which will be held from 11 to 13 August. Also, in September this year, the visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to our republic is planned. During his visit, further prospects for cooperation will be discussed. One of these areas is the creation of a center of Arab civilizations on the campus of the Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency wrote that in 2022, the foreign trade turnover of Bashkiria and the United Arab Emirates increased 3 times compared to 2021. At the same time, exports grew 3.4 times, amounted to 94.1% of the total foreign trade turnover, and imports doubled.
