Russian Ministry of Agriculture fully compensates dairy products supply to poorest countries
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation brings up to 100% of the compensation for transporting dairy products and food to the poorest countries. The corresponding decree of the Government of the Russian Federation has been published.
In 2023, this applies to exporting milk powder and cream, whey, and other products from natural milk components, butter, and cheeses, including processed and moldy ones.
From 2024, the cost of transporting other products to the poorest countries will be compensated by 50%. Subsidies apply to the entire list of products.
In other cases, compensation of expenses to producers and suppliers for the transportation of agricultural products and food will be 25%.
The poorest countries include Moldova, Tajikistan, Honduras, Nicaragua, Somalia, Niger, the Central African Republic, and several other countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Africa.
