Economically active population of Bashkiria became known
According to a sample survey in Bashkiria, the labor force aged 15 and over in March-May 2023 amounted to 1.937 million people.
Of these, about 1.893 million people, or 97.7%, were classified as employed in economic activities. Another 44.1 thousand people (2.3%) - as unemployed, meeting the criteria of the International Labor Organization (i.e., they did not have a job or gainful occupation, they were looking for a job and were ready to start it in the surveyed week). Bashkir Statistical Agency provides such data.
In Russia, the labor force in March-May of this year amounted to 75.742 million people, and in the Volga Federal District - more than 14.599 million people.
As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, in Bashkiria, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in May 2023 reached 56,845 rubles. In general, in January-May of this year, the average wage in the region amounted to 52,768 rubles. This is 18.8 and 16.4 percent, respectively, more than in the same period in 2022.
