Retail trade increased by 12.5 billion rubles in Bashkiria in January-May

In monetary terms, retail trade turnover for the first five months of 2023 increased by 2.7% compared to January-May 2022 - by 12.5 billion rubles and amounted to 471.6 billion rubles in Bashkiria. The results were announced at the Republican Ministry of Trade Board.

By the end of the year's first half, over 27.8 thousand trade objects were operating in Bashkiria, including more than 6.5 thousand non-stationary trade objects - 1 thousand more than a year earlier.

The wholesale trade turnover in January-May 2023 increased by 3.8% (+19.7 billion rubles) against the level of five months. 2022 and amounted to 538.7 billion rubles.

Public catering turnover in January-May 2023 amounted to 14 billion rubles - 5.2% higher than the value of the same period in 2022.

In January-June of the current year, over 25 million liters of alcohol were sold in the republic, which is 5.4% more than in the previous year. Excises of 6 billion rubles (+3.4%) were received from the sale of alcohol to the republic's budget, of which brewing companies paid more than half (3.7 billion rubles).
