More than half of winter grains fields have been threshed in Bashkiria
Grain growers of Bashkiria by August 2 mowed 166 thousand hectares of winter grain. Of these, 150 thousand hectares have been threshed - more than half of all areas with winter crops in the region, the Republican Ministry of Agriculture noted.
The gross threshing of winter grain amounted to 391 thousand tons, and the average yield was 2.6 tons/ha. The main share of wheat is 297 thousand tons. Also, the farmers of the republic harvested 90 thousand tons of winter rye and more than 4 thousand tons of winter triticale.
The farms of the Aurgazinsky, Sterlitamaksky, and Karmaskalinsky districts collected the most significant harvest of winter grain from 37 to 43 thousand tons.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, this year's grain harvest is expected to reach 2.8-3.3 million tons.
